double chocolate chunk energy bites

vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar-free

 

The answer to all your chocolate cravings: DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHUNK ENERGY BITES! They taste like brownies and the ingredients are so simple and wholesome. I totally would've made them even more nutritious with some protein powder, but I don't have a chocolate flavored one :( I'm usually a vanilla gal so it's rareee for me to make something with this much chocolate. Been snacking on them all day though and I'll drop the recipe so you can too!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/3 cup oat flour

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1/2 tbsp ground flax

  • 2 tbsps oats

  • 1/2 cup almond butter

  • 3 tbsps maple syrup

  • Chocolate chunks

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients (except the chocolate chunks) in a bowl.

  2. Add the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

  3. Fold in some chocolate chunks.

  4. Roll into balls and freeze for at least 20 min. Store extra in the freezer.
